This listing covers the DRAM-Plus-Flash Upgrade for eMate 300, the older “DRAM Only” style has been discontinued.

These modules are reverse engineered and redesigned eMate 300 upgrades.

It will increase your available System RAM to about 3900k and increase the DRAM bus width to 32 bits from 16 (this results in better performance).

The “plus_Flash” upgrade will increase the amount of internal program storage space in your eMate 300, to about 3600k total.  It also increases internal storage bus width from 16 bits to 32 bits, for yet another small speed improvement.

***Important Note***

Installing the “DRAM_plus_Flash” module will cause a *full factory reset* on your eMate.  You *must* back up all data before installation.

Installation Instructions

*Read all instructions before installing*

1. Turn off your eMate
2. Remove *all* power sources
   1. e.g. remove internal battery and unplug power adapter
3. Remove all expansion cards
   1. e.g. remove linear flash cards, modems, ethernet cards, etc
   2. This is just a precaution against additional capacitance providing internal system power
4. Wait a minimum of 15 minutes
5. Install the upgrade
   1. Ensure that both retaining clips have grabbed the upgrade card
6. Reinstall your power source(s)
   1. If you plug in the AC adapter, the charging light will turn green for a bit and then go yellow
7. Open the screen and press the power button once
8. For the DRAM Plus Flash upgrade, your system will perform a factory reset now
   1. This factory reset takes around a minute, and the screen will be completely blank
      1. Measured between 50 seconds and 2 minutes 30 seconds on my test eMates
   2. *Do Not Interrupt This Process*
   3. After the factory reset completes, your eMate will turn on automatically
